Banana Cookies Recipe

3/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 mashed ripe bananas
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour

6 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp cream
4 tbsp butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add egg, vanilla and bananas. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by tsp on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350.

Bring brown sugar, cream and butter to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread on cookies.
