2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2-1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. oatmeal
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 T. butter
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Heat oven to 350. Grease 9x13 pan or jelly roll pan. Mix brown sugar, 1 c. butter, 2 eggs & 1 tsp. vanilla. Stir in flour, soda and 1/2 t. salt. Stir in oatmeal. Reserve 1/3 of oatmeal mixture. Press remaining oatmeal mixture in pan. Heat chips, condensed milk and 2 T. butter, stirring constantly til chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and stir in nuts, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. salt. Spread over mixture in pan. Drop reserved oatmeal mixture by teaspoonfuls on chocolate mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes. While warm, cut into bars.
