1 chicken fryer cut up, or 5 to 6 chicken breasts with skin on
1/2 pkg. Good Seasons Italian dressing mix (dry)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese (room temperature)
2 T. chopped onion
2 T. melted butter or olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Layer chicken in crock pot. Sprinkle each layer with some of the dressing mix and a little melted butter or olive oil. Cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or on LOW all day. About an hour before serving, remove some of the excess juices (retain in a small bowl in case you need it!)
Cream together mushroom soup, cream cheese, and chopped onion. Add to the remaining juice in the crock pot; it should be the consistency of gravy. If too thick add some of the extra juice. Cook another hour or until chicken is tender. Serve with potatoes or rice.
