2 c. boiling water 1 c. oats 2 T. shortening 1/2 c. molasses 2 tsp. salt 2 pkts. yeast 1/2 c. warm water Flour
Pour boiling water over oat mixture. Add shortening, salt, and molasses. Mix yeast with warm water and add to first mixture, after it's cool. Add flour (whatever it takes to) knead lightly. Let rise in pans and bake.
