1 can pears- enough to place in 9" pie plate.
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. pear juice
1/2 c butter
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. powdered ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Drain pears and place in 9" pie plate Reserve 1/2 c. liquid. Combine lemon juice with pear juice and pour around pears. Cream butter and sugar until soft and creamy, add flour, salt and ginger. Place a big spoonful on each pear half. Bake at 350 until brown and crusty, approximately 25 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

This is wonderful. I have served this for many dinner parties. It doesn't always come out crispy so don't worry.
