7 lbs. cucumbers
2 c. canning lime (can get from lumberyard)
2 gal. water
2 qts. vinegar
4-1/2 lbs. sugar
2 T. whole cloves
1-1/2 T. celery
3 T. mixed pickling spices
3 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Slice 7 pounds cucumbers and cover with a solution made of 2 c. lime powder and 2 gal. water. Let soak 24 hours, then rinse well. Cover with clear, cold water and soak again for 3 hours. Drain and cover with a mixture of vinegar, sugar, cloves, celery seed, mixed pickling spices, and salt. Let soak overnight. The next morning, put on stove and boil 3 to 5 minutes. Pack pickles and liquid into hot jars and seal.
