2 1/2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
3 tablespoons oil
12 cups water
2 cans (15 oz) tomato sauce
1/4 cup beef bouillon
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 1/2 lbs potatoes, peeled & cubed
4 medium carrots, sliced
2 medium onions, coarsley chopped
3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cups cold water

Directions:

In kettle, brown beef in oil; drain. Stir in water, tomato sauce, bouillon, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

Add potatoes, carrots, and onions. Return to boil. reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes.

Combine flour & cold water; gradually stir into stew. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened.
