1/2 cup wild rice
1/2 gallon milk
2 can cream of potato soup
1 package shredded Velveta cheese (12-16 oz)
1/4 to 1/2 pound chopped onion
1/2 pound bacon
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In a sauce pan with a lid, add 1/2 cup wild rice. Bring to a boil. Turn heat down and cover with lid. Simmer until all moisture is absorbed into rice (1 to 1-1/2 hours). Fry chopped bacon, adding onions when bacon is about half done. Drain grease when finished. Combine cooked rice, bacon, onion, potato soup and milk in a large kettle. Cook on low heat until serving temperature. Stir in shredded cheese until cheese is completely melted. Season to taste.
