1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 c. shredded, unpared tart apples

Topping:
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 t. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add egg and milk into flour mixture; add apples. Spoon into paper lined muffin tins 2/3's full. Sprinkle with nut crunch topping.
Bake @ 375 fro 25 min.
