Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add flour one cup at a time and mix well. Press into a 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan. Stamp in rows with cookie stamp. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes. Cut in squares while hot.
Dough may also be rolled and cut into shapes before baking.
