1 medium onion 1/3 c. butter 3/4 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. prepared mustard 1/4 c. liquid smoke 1 tbsp. garlic powder 26 oz. bottle ketchup 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce 1/3 c. lemon juice 2 1/2 c. water
In a large saucepan, saute chopped onion in butter. Add brown sugar and mix well. Add mustard, liquid smoke, garlic powder, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 min., stirring occasionally. Store in refrigerator. Makes 2 quarts.
