3/4 cup soft margarine
1 cup of sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon cloves
3/4 teaspoon ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Mix margarine, sugar and molasses together. Sift the remaining ingredients and stir in. Mix well. Roll dough into 1/2 inch balls and press down with a fork. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes at 375. Makes about 7 1/2 dozen.
