2 rapid rise yeast packages (2 rise method) in 1 cup tepid water
3/4 cup shortening (1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening)
3/4 cup sugar

2 well beaten eggs
1/2 tablespoon salt
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve shortening and sugar in one cup boiling water. Let cool and add yeast mixture to it.

Add eggs, salt, and flour (one cup at a time) to yeast mixture. Mix well with spoon by hand. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Drop by handfuls (about 1/2 cup per roll) in well greased pan. Cover with dish towel. Let rise. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 or until done.
