1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
6 tbsp. unsalted butter (melted)
1 egg (slightly beaten)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. Grease a 9 in. square baking pan. Stir cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Stir in buttermilk, butter, and egg. Mix gently. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 25 min. in center of oven. Cornbread is done when edges are lightly browned and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
