1 C brown sugar;
1 stick butter;
2 T light corn syrup;
1 loaf sliced Francisco French bread, crust removed;
8 large eggs;
2 tsp. vanilla;
1/2 tsp salt;
2 C whole milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine in a sauce pan the brown sugar, butter, & corn syrup. Heat, stir till butter melts & sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil. Pour syrup mixture into a 9"x 13" pan.
Arrange slices of bread in a tight, single layer on top of the caramel mixture. Cover with any remaining bread.
Beat together in a separate bowl, the eggs, vanilla, salt, & milk. Pour over the bread.
Cover and chill overnight in refrigerator.
Next day - preheat oven to 350. Bake uncovered till bread is puffed, about 40 minutes.
Cut into serving pieces. Use a spatula to invert each piece so caramel side is up. Serve hot.
