1 C. butter
1 lb. brown sugar (2 1/4 cup)
Dash of salt
1 C. light corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Add sugar and salt. Stirring thoroughly, add corn syrup. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Increase to medium high heat until boils, then reduce heat to medium. Cook and stir over medium heat to firm ball stage or 248 (balls forms when dropped into cold water). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour into buttered 9x13 pan. Cool and cut into squares and wrap in wax paper.
