4 c. peeled, sliced peaches
2 c. sugar, divided
1/2 c. water
8 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
1 1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Combine peaches, 1c. sugar and water in saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Put butter in 3 qt. baking dish and place in oven to melt. Mix remaining 1 c. sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mix over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Bake for 30-45 minutes.

1 c. self rising flour is 1 c. flour with 1 1/2 tsp baking powder with 1/4 tsp salt.
