1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, blend in egg yolk, vanilla and salt and mix well. Stir in flour and walnuts until well mixed. Drop by small teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom.

Optional: add 1/2 cup chocolate chips
