1 C. water. 2 lbs. hamburger, 2 t. cinnamon. 2 t. cumin seed or ground cumin. 2 large chopped onions. 2 t. Worcestershire sauce. 2 t garlic. 2 T. chili powder, 1 t black pepper. 2/3 t. red pepper or chili. 1 Tsalt. 1 1/2 t ground allspice. 1 6-oz. can tomato paste. 1 1/2 T. cider vinegar.3 large whole bay leaves.

Crumble raw hamburger into water add all ingredients. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 3 hours. Remove garlic clove and bay leaves. Add whole red peppers (if desired) for more spice. Serves 10-12.
