1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Additional cinnamon
6 large spples
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
6 T. butter
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, cinnamon, and cloves - then add lemon juice. Peel and slice apples and mix well into the above mixture. Place in a 9" x 13" baking dish and sprinkle generously with additional cinnamon.
Mix sugar, flour, salt, butter and nuts, either with a fork or by hand. Spread over apples and press down.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
