3 eggs beaten well. Add 2 1/2 c. sugar and 7 Tbs. melted butter, and 1 c. evaporated milk diluted with 2 c. water. Measure 8 1/2 c. sifted flour and sift again with 6 Tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 2 heaping tsp. each; nutmeg, ginger. Add milk and flour alternately to egg mixture until a soft dough forms. Roll out and cut donuts. Fry in hot fat.
