2 sticks butter
1/2 c. confectioner's sugar
One yolk from a large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour

Filling
1/2 c. raspberry jam, seedless

Topping
1/2 c. confectioner's sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugar together. Add and Beat in egg yolk and vanilla until pale and fluffy. Blend flour into the mixture. Divide dough into four pieces. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate anywhere from one hour to four days. Roll a 12" long,3/4" thick rope from each. Put on cookie sheet. Press groove in rope with side of finger. Bake 10 minutes at 350 F or until it feels firm to the touch. Spoon 1/2 c. raspberry jam into grooves. Return to oven for 5-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Decorate with topping of confectioner's sugar, lemon juice and milk by drizzling over the warm cookies.
Cut at 45 degree angle into 1" lengths. Cool on cookie sheet.
