1 C Butter
1 C Shortening
1 C Powdered Sugar
1 C Sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
4 C Flour
1 tsp Cream of Tarter
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add the eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Add the sugar mixture to the dry mixture. Add vanilla. Make cookie dough into small balls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Dip a glass in sugar and then press the balls flat. Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes until delicately brown.
