Ingredients:  
1 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt
cup sugar
cup brown sugar, firmly packed
cup shortening
cup peanut butter
48 chocolate candy kisses
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients, except kisses, in a large mixing bowl. Mix on lowest speed until dough forms. Shape dough into walnut size balls. Roll each into granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes. Immediately upon removing from oven, top each cookie with a kiss. Press down firmly so that cookie cracks around edges.
