"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
2 cups brown sugar 2 sticks butter 1/2 cup Karo syrup pinch of salt 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 7-8 quarts popcorn
Cook ingredients for 5 minutes. After it starts to boil, add salt and cream of tartar and stir. Pour over popped corn (you can buy bags of puffed corn at the grocer store which is what I recommend.) Spread on cookie sheets or use large disposable aluminum pans as it is less messy. Put in oven at 200 degrees for 2 hours. Stir a few times during baking.
This is one of my favorite recipes. Grammy makes this and brings it to our Christmas gathering.
