3/4 c. butter
3 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Browned Butter Frosting:
3/4 c. butter
3 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tbsp. hot water

Directions:

Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar until blended; cool. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Whisk dry ingredients together and blend in. Spread into a greased half-sheet bun pan (17"x12"x1") and bake about 20 minutes at 350F. Do not overbake. Cool slightly, top with browned butter frosting.

For frosting:
Melt butter in saucepan. Heat gently until golden brown in color. Blend in powdered sugar and vanilla. Add smaller amount of water and beat until smooth with an electric mixer. Add more water if necessary to reach desired consistency. If it looks like the butter is separating, add more water.
