4 cans (28oz) crushed Italian plum tomatoes
3 c water
1 med size onion,diced
3 to 4 cloves minced garlic
1/4 c parsley flakes
1 T salt
1 tsp red pepper flakes
2 T sugar
2 T grated cheese
1/4 c olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Open canned tomatoes and set aside.
In a large saucepan heat olive oil over med heat.
Add onion and saute; add minced garlic. Add canned tomatoes, all remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. Bring to a slight boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 3 hrs.

*In a separate pan, brown 1 lb of Italian link sausage and add to sauce.
