1/2 c. sugar, 2 c. scalded milk, 2 Tbs.crisco or butter, 1 tsp. salt, 2 eggs, beaten, 2 yeast cakes, 1/2 c. lukewarm water, 6 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the scalded milk with the 1/2 c. sugar, salt and shortening. Cool until lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 c. warm water and stir into the milk mixture. Add the eggs and as much of the flour as can be stirred into the dough without binding. Put dough in a bowl, brush with melted butter, cover tightly and leave in refrigerator. About an hour before baking take dough out and shape into 48 rolls. Let the rolls rise on a greased baking sheet (loosely covered) in a warm place until doubled in bulk. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 425.
