1 Tbs. Crisco, 2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper, 2 stalks celery, chopped, 4 c. canned tomatoes, 1c. stock, 1 c.leftover meat, chopped, 3/4 c. rice, 1/4 tsp. paprika, 1 onion, chopped.

Wash and drain the rice. In a heavy skillet, heat the crisco and fry the rice until brown, stirring occasionally. Add vegetables and spices and cook for 5 more minutes. Add meat and stock and bring to a boil, reduce heat down to a low simmer and cover. Rice is done in about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
