1 C. oatmeal
1 1/2 C. boiling water
1 C. brown sugar
1 square butter
1 1/2 C. flour
Pinch of salt
1 C. white sugar
2 eggs
1 T. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Frosting:
1 square butter
1 C. brown sugar
1/4 C. canned milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. coconut
1 C. shopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Add boiling water to oatmeal; mix with hand mixer then add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into 9x13 greased pan. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

Frosting:
Put butter, brown sugar and milk in small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Take off heat and add remaining ingredients. Spread on cake.
