flour (as needed, to thicken)
2 lbs. veal, pork & beef cubes
2 c. celery, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 T. soy sauce
dash sugar
salt, pepper
1 can (1 lb. 12 oz.) chop suey vegetables
1 can (8 oz.) sliced mushrooms
1 pkg. chop suey seasoning mix

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, season with salt & pepper. Add 1 c. water, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add celery & onions & simmer an additional 15 min. Add seasoning mix, soy sauce, sugar and some flour. Mix well. Put can vegetables and mushrooms (including liquid) in large dutch oven. Add meat mixture to vegetables. Heat through. Add enough flour to thicken liquid like gravy. Simmer for a few minutes. Serve with rice and chow mein noodles.
