1 15 oz. can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
2 large garlic cloves, minced
Tabasco sauce, few drops, optional
1 tsp cumin
1/3 cup water
Juice of a large lemon
6 tbsp sesame tahini (available in health food stores and some groceries)
1 tsp salt
pepper to taste
Garnish: cayenne pepper, chopped parsley, olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Drain chickpeas. Put all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. If too thick, add a little more water. Put in bowl and sprinkle with cayenne pepper and chopped parsley. Drizzle with a little olive oil, if desired. Serve with pita wedges.
