Boil 6 medium yams (or sweet potatoes) Peel 3 cooking apples and slice thin Boil 1 cup water and pour over: 1/2 C. brown sugar 2 T. cornstarch Cook till thick and add: 1/2 square butter 1/2 tsp. salt 2-3 T. frozen orange juice concentrate
Alternate layers of sliced potatoes and apples and cover with sauce. Bake 40-45 minutes at 300º.
