2 2/3 Cup Sugar
2/3 Cup Corn Syrup
2/3 Water
2 Egg Whites beaten to a stiff peak

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients in large heavy sauce pan. Cook over medium hear until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a very hard ball. It will form "hairs" when poured out of spoon. (250 - 265) Beat two eggs whites to a stiff peak. Continue beating egg whites while adding a very thin stream of hot syrup into the egg white mixture. This is best done with two people if using a hand mixture. Add chopped nuts. Drop teaspoonful measure onto wax paper. Cool completely before removing the candy.
