1 cup shortening
2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
4 cup flour
1 cup cocoa
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk mixed with 1 T. vinegar
1 cup hot water

Filling:
2 egg whites
2 tsp vanilla
4 tsp flour
1 cup shortening
4 cups confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cookies: Cream together shortening, sugar and egg yolks. Sift together flour; cocoa; baking soda; baking powder and salt and add alternately with milk mixture. Add hot water and mix until smooth. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes.

Filling: Beat together egg whites, vanilla, flour and shortening. Then add 3-4 c. confectionery sugar to desired consistency. Fill by putting two cookies together.
