2-1/3 C. water
1 C. quick oats
2/3 C. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 T. butter
2 T. yeast
5 3/4 C. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Bring 2 cups of water to boil. Stir in oats; simmer 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add sugar, salt, butter and remaining 1/3 cup water. Transfer to mixing bowl and let cool to 110-115 (20-25 minutes). Stir in yeast; then add 3 cups flour and beat well. Add enough flour to make soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic (6-8 minutes). Put in greased bowl turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour. Punch down; shape into balls. Place on greased cookie sheets. Cover and let rise till double, about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
