Ingredients:
1 10 oz. pkg. vanilla wafers (about 24)
3/4 C. butter
1 C. powdered sugar (more like 2 cups)
2 pkgs. frozen raspberries
2 eggs
1 C. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 C. whipping cream

Directions:
Directions:
Crumb cookies. Spread 1/2 crumb mixture in bottom of 9 X 13 pan. Put in refrigerator & chill. Cream butter, sugar & eggs. (May need more powdered sugar to make a nice cream mixture). Spread over cookie crumbs. (This is more like drop by teaspoonfuls and TRY to spread). Pour berries with thickened COOL-ED juice over cream mixture.(Thicken berries in a pan with cornstarch--I use 1/3 c. sugar, 2 1/2 c. frozen berries, 1-3/4 cup water, 21/2 Tb. cornstarch or a little more). Sprinkle nuts over berries. Sprinkle with powered sugar. Layer with whipped cream, whipped with mixer in a bowl with about 2 tsp. pd. sugar and less than 1/2 of a lid of vanilla extract until it forms peaks. Sprinkle the rest of the cookie crumbs over the whipped cream.

Personal Notes:
You may use fresh raspberries thickened with a
package of Danish Dessert. ***My experience says --Thicken berries first so they will be cooled when time to spread on other mixture or butter will melt and be greasy.
