Ingredients:  
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 cup sweet milk
1 cup whole kernal corn
1/4 cup bacon drippings or oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic or 1 tsp. garlic salt
4 hot jalapeno peppers, chopped fine
1/2 lb grated Velveta or American cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornmeal, soda, salt, bacon drippings, onion, garlic, corn, milk and eggs. Beat well. Spread 1/3 of mixture in well greased pan. (Iron skillet works best). Mix grated cheese and peppers ans spread over mixture in pan. Pour rest of mixture over the cheese and peppers. Bake 45 minutes at 350
