3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 oz crystallized ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.

Combine butter, sugar, molasses and egg. Add flour, baking soda, cloves, ginger, cinnamon and salt. Chil 1 hour.

Form into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes.
