1 bar sweet German Chocolate
1 c shortening
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 t vanilla
2 t butter flavoring
1 c butter milk
3 c plain flour
1/2 t soda
1 t salt

Directions:
Directions:
Partially melt chocolate bar in a double boiler. Remove from heat & stir rapidly until completely melted. Meanwhile, cream shortening & 2 c sugar, add eggs vanilla, butter flavoring & buttermilk. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to mixture and mix well. Blend in melted chocolate and pour into a greased & floured 9 inch tube pan. Bake at 300 for 1&1/2 hours. Remove from pan while hot and place under a tight fitting cover until cooled.
