2 c Sugar
3 Egg Yolks
1 lg can of Evaporated Milk
1 stick of Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
1 pkg Coconut

Batter:
1/2 c Boiling Water
1 pkg German Chocolate
2 c Sugar
1 c Crisco
4 Egg Yolks (slightly beaten)
1/2 tsp Salt
2 1/2 c Sifted All Purpose Flour
1 c Buttermilk
1 tsp Baking Soda
4 Egg Whites (beaten)

Topping:
Boil ingredients for 6 mins, stirring slowly. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 pkg of coconut.

Cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Combine salt and flour. Combine buttermilk and baking soda. Add flour alternatively with buttermilk and then add chocolate. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake 40 mins at 350 Makes 3 layers. Put topping between layers and on top and sides of cake
