Ingredients:  
3/4 c. butter,
1/4 c. lard or shortening,
1/2 c. granulated sugar,
1/2 c. powdered sugar,
1 egg,
2 c. flour,
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars. Add egg, and vanilla. Mix in flour until dough is stiff. Wrap and chill. Roll out to about 1/5 inch and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes or until just browned at edges. Cookies can be sprinkled with colored sugars before baking or frosted after baking and cooling.
