4 T. melted butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 pkg. ready-made pie crust
FILLING: 6 c. peeled and cubed apples
1 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. each nutmeg and salt

Directions:
Directions:
Bring butter and brown sugar to roaring boil; stir continuously. Boil 1 minute. Spread into 10-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Carefully line pan with 1 pie crust. Do not make holes in it. Combine filling ingredients. Fill pan with apple mixture. Place top pie crust and trim even with the edge of the pan. Seal crust edges and roll to the center of the pan. No crust should touch the trim of the pan. Bake in 375 preheated oven 50-55 minutes. Remove from oven and carefully run knife around the edge of the pan to loosen. Invert onto serving plate.
