1-1/4 c. sugar, divided
1 t. cinnamon
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 t. almond extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
2-1/2 c. long-cooking oats, uncooked
1-1/2 c. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 1/4 c. sugar and cinnamon together; set aside. Cream shortening, remaining sugar, brown sugar, eggs and extracts together in a large mixing bowl; set aside. In another mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients; stir well. Add to sugar mixture; mix well. Roll into walnut-size balls; roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets; bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes; remove to cool on wire rack.
