1 cup hazelnuts
3 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. of hazelnut liqueur
Fresh fruit of berries

Directions:
Directions:
1- Toast hazelnut and remove skins by rubbing them with a towel. Grind nuts in a blender or food processor.
2- Beat eggs whites with salt, add vanilla and continue beating, adding the whites and brown sugars slowly. Beat until sugars are dissolved. Fold in the ground nuts and vanilla wafer crumbs. Butter well a 9 inch pie pan. Place egg white mixture into pan covering sides and bottom with mixture. Bake in preheated oven 350 F for 30 minutes. Cool
3- Whip the cream and flavor with powdered sugar and hazelnut liqueur. Fill baked pie shell with cream mixture and garnish with fresh berries or fruit. Refrigerate until served.
