1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbs. melted butter
16 oz. can tomatoes, undrained
3 Tbs. tomato paste
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 lb. shredded cheddar
1 8 oz. can refrigerated biscuits
3 sausages or hot dogs sliced in circles
1/2 lb. cheddar sliced in strips

Directions:
Saute onion in butter, add tomatoes and juice, salt, garlic, sugar and paste. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until thick enough to spread. Add shredded cheese. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool. Flatten each biscuit into a four inch circle. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Spread tomato mix on each round to within 1/4 inch of edge. Top with sausages and cheese strips. Bake at 425 10-12 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
