2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. oil
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. For chocolate cake add 1/2 cup cocoa. For spice cake add 2 tsp. allspice.
*Add 1 cup boiling water, mix well. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

Recipe makes 2-8 or 9 inch layers or 1 -1/4 sheet cake.
