1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine unbeaten egg whites, sugar, water and corn syrup in the top of a double boiler; beat just enough to blend ingredients.

Place over rapidly boiling water and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy and will hold their shape. (This requires about 7 minutes with a hand mixer and 2-4 minutes with an electric mixer) Remove from heat. Add flavoring. Continue beating until stiff enough to stand in peaks.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
About seven large marshmallows or 1/2 c. mini marshmallows may be added to frosting immediately after adding flavoring and beaten into the frosting mix. Helps the frosting to hold it's shape and adds to the amount of frosting.
