6 med. yams, cooked, peeled and halved, or 2(17oz) cans, well drained
1/2 C. light corn syrup
1/4 C. half & half
2 TB butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 C. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Pecan pieces for top

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange yams in single layer in11x7x2 baking dish; bake in 450 degree oven for 15 min. In heavy saucepan, stir together remaining ingredients except for pecans. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat and boil for 5 min. Pour over yams, sprinkle pecan pieces on top, and bake for 10 min, basting once.
