Turnip greens
Salt pork or bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Wash the greens and pull off any hard stems. Put in a crockpot and cover with water and a chunk of salt pork or bacon (according to amount of greens you have).
Cook on low for 1 day.

Dad called Polly to ask her if he could cook turnip greens in a crockpot. She said she never had, but supposed you could. He put them on and went to bed. The next morning they were okay, so he decided to leave them and eat them for lunch; but he didn't make it home for lunch. At supper time he remembers them, but has very few to eat. I can see him laughing now when he said, "They just cooked away to nothing, but they were good!".
